I know it’s been quiet around here lately…but that’s certainly not because of a lack of thoughts around adoption. I’ve been helping with Adoption Mosaic’s Youth Adoptee Travel Group, planning a new full spectrum doula organization (more exciting news on that soon!), and taking pre-requisite classes for OHSU’s nurse-midwifery program. Oh, and still working as a doula in private practice.
Aaand, chatting away with Kevin Ost-Vollmers, of Land of Gazillion Adoptees! Yup, that’s right, Kevin and I had a great conversation last week that was turned into one of his famed podcasts. Go check it out–we talked about all kinds of fun things, including adoptees as parents, the youth adoptee travel group, and travel to birth countries as adoptees.
So for now, go check out the podcast. Then come back in a few days after I’ve finished my Medical Terminology final, and I’ll have a post ready for you about building a doula program to support parents considering or planning to relinquish their infants for adoption.
